Here is my first attempt at M95. I had issues with cloud and poor seeing the first night, so had another go at capturing the following night with pretty much the same issues. This target is also pretty low from my location at 52:30N with it never reaching 50deg above the horizon and much of the capture when down in the mid 30s to mid 40s altitude. That turned out to be the least of my problems as I found this a nightmare to process, using only 15 of the 24 luminence. The RGB data wasn't much better, but rightly or wrongly I used as much as I dare, but even then had to discard several subs.

I'm still learning how to tackle LRGB capture and processing and wonder whether the image scale of the C14 is too much at low altitudes in poor seeing. Focus doesn't look great on lots of the subs, so maybe I also need to work on that some...

Views by Submitters (available since September 19th, 2023) Every image is assigned to 50% of available Submitters. In the event that at least 80% of them don't view the image before its time in the IOTD/TP process expires, it's assigned to the other 50% of Submitters and the process begins anew.
Promotions by Submitters When 3 distinct Submitters promote the image, it moves on to the next stage of the process: evaluation for Top Pick status. This requirement, in addition to anonymization of images and distribution to only a subset of them, prevents biases and ensures that the best images are selected.

Early dismissal Staff members have a lot of images to inspect on a daily basis, and they can dismiss images if they believe they don't meet the requirements for IOTD/TP selection. If an image is dismissed 5 times, it's removed from the process. This streamlines the process and ensures that any bias present in promotions could be overruled by other staff members.
