Description

This one was a lot of fun to process, which is good because the acquisition was kind of a pain. I had a lot of guidance issues on my SII frames, but it all worked out in the end.

While imaging, the full moon was very close, so I didn't capture any luminance data. Instead, I created a synthetic luminance channel that comprised the average of all of the narrowband channels I captured. It worked a lot better than I had expected it to.

I also used the deconvolution process in PixInsight on the synthetic luminance channel to try to bring out a bit more clarity.

The data was mapped as follows:
R = SII
G = Hα
B = OIII
