Description

NGC 3953 is a barred spiral galaxy located in the constellation Ursa Major. It is a member of the M109 Group, a large group of galaxies that may contain over 50 galaxies. Apparent size is 6.9' X 3.5' and apparent magnitude is 10.8.

This is first light for my new Moravian Instruments G2-4000 camera. I'm not sure why this galaxy isn't imaged more than it is. It's one of my new favorites.
