Description

M63 taken on April 17th 2017 shows a faint supernova Ia just on the right and slightly north from the center. The supernova was discovered on April 9th and confirmed on April 21st. It looks like the star exploded in a galaxy further away from M63, that's why its apparent brightness is over magnitude 18 in this image.
