Description

As is my usual lately the sky cooperates and gives me one night to image and then clouds up

again. Since I could not do any imaging tonight I decided to reprocess an image of M22 that

I originally imaged on 9-20-16. In an eyepiece I consider M22 more dazzling than the great

globular cluster M13 in Hercules. From what I've read it is the brightest globular cluster in

the Messier catalog. It's interesting to me also because it is nestled in an area of the sky that

is thickly saturated with stars. And thickly saturated is an understatement. However I feel

that this makes an interesting image that is not like most of the globular cluster images .

However it is for me at least a challenge to image. I look forward to Sagittarius moving back

into the night sky so I can have another crack at imaging M22. With all of that said this is

an image that I reprocessed today 5-2-17 using data acquired on 9-20-16. Please enjoy.
