A quick image that I captured back in July 2016. The Prawn Nebula region in Scorpius, a beautiful region, in binoculars, with lots of stars (that make processing quite tricky), star clusters and nebulosity. This image depicts the contrast of colours - the red H-alpha emitted from the main nebulosity (although not as much as it could have been as my camera is not modified), the blue of hot stars nearby, and the yellowish tint of the Milky Way dense starfield, along various dark nebulae that surround the field.

Technically though, this image was severly bad, and I was surprised I ended up with something usable - my PA was pretty bad, and I the stars are not perfectly tracked. After all, I had to apply heavier star shrinking in the already crowded field. Framing was close, but not perfect either. However, I tried to pose the nebula in a wider, broader context, not in the center of the frame as I usually would do.

Not my best image, nor am I satisfied with the result in the region, but I think better than my previous attempts. Might try again this year, let's see how it goes....
