Description

I am frustrated with the cheap CCD camera I have been using with the telescope so I decided to just spend my night times with the Canon Rebel XT 350D shooting from a tripod. (I may try the telescope some more but not right now). Last night was the full moon (the Flower Moon) and the last clear skies for at least a week. I have been reading everything I can on simple moon shots, star trails, and time laps. Here is a simple Full Moon shot. I purposely shot through the trees but I also had clouds moving through. I shot 98 images, threw half away, and I am still working on the RAW data. Here is my best processed image of the lot for now. My settings were Shutter Speed 1/160, f/14, ISO 100, focal length 250 mm, White Balance Daylight, and Noise Reduction ‘On’. I like this image better than the last one through the telescope. I hope you enjoy it.
