Description

Here is a statue - not necessarily Statue of Liberty, because it is difficult to say who and why built it. This is by far the most difficult picture I have ever done. The problem was that too few photons were registered in the oxygen and sulfur spectra lines. No less - a heavy processing allowed me to extract these photons and thus my next complete photo was created.

The object is called NGC 3576 and is not visible from my (and probably your too) northern sky (unfortunately). He lies in one of the four largest arms of our beloved galaxy, called the Sagittarius Arm - just a few thousand light years away from my previous photo - Eta Carinae. Exposure 4 hours.

Equipment: ASI1600MM-C with Baader Narrowband FIlters, WO APO71Q f4.9 telescope, iOptron CEM25EC paralactic mount. Location – village without civilization somewhere in the middle of South Africa.

Thanks for your feedback guys. Hope you like it.
