Description

The Eyes of Rho Ophiuchi - A multiple star system, 460 light years away from Earth and inside our Milky Way. It's called a Dark Nebula because it's molecules of gas and interstellar dust obscure the starlight from behind it, showing us it's dark side. This time, I used a much more aggressive, dual-bandpass optical filter to acquire the data, one which blocks out a lot more light pollution than my previous filter (at the slight expense of richer star colours - light pollution is such a problem), but let's in the important emmission spectra from Hydrogen, Oxygen, Sulphur and Nitrogen.
