Description

I wanted to compare the image using the same data stacked-on-stars to the image stacked-on-the comet. Keeping it simple, the stacked on stars image is approximately the same amount of integration of an image of this comet I made 9 days prior to this image. Stacking on the comet, it was easy to use all my data, without having to worry about blurring the nucleus too much. Also, when I compare (not shown here) my previous image of Comet Johnson with this one stacked-on-stars, I think it looks slightly brighter/bigger now. Although I used the same equipment, and the image scale and processing, along with the integration is very comparable, however other variables, like transparency, etc., really make a comparison far from academic.

Anyway, thanks for looking!
