This was my first time using PixInsight, and designbydave's workflow tutorial was immensely valuable for me. I learned a ton while making this image, and I learned even more about what to do next time to make my next image even better. Some key notes:
-I had consistent downward field drift across all my subs, which I attribute to the ballhead on my tracking mount not being as tight as it should have been. I stacked some of these subs as well to try to reduce noise, but I probably should have just thrown the junk data out. Motion blur deconvolution helped make the stars look more like points, but that only goes so far.
-The night was extremely humid, and my subs got unusably dim after just an hour. I'll need a portable dew heater for nights like that in the future.
-I need another USB cable to provide external power to the mount. My AA batteries died
Other than that, I thought that my tracking mount and cheap lens performed admirably, and I'm proud of what came out! Any and all advice or feedback is very much appreciated.
