Description

Each year I shoot this target as it's so colorful and interesting. This time, it's using my new ASI071 camera and a Rokinon 135mm lens. This camera is quite impressive as the image has only 20 subs and the only pre-processing was using flats. No darks or bias but I did use dithering during acquisition. I've had to adjust to using a color camera and did struggle with white balance, but found DSS debayer and the RGB channel calibration helped make that easier. I am getting bad halos around stars as I'm using a cheap no name IR-UV cut filter and will be replacing it with something better. I am also having some coma issues from what I think is incorrect backspace distance. I also binned the data when post processing to speed things up. In spite of the issues, the image came out quite well. Offset 10, gain 50. 20x220s.
