Description

This occurrence caught me completely by surprise!

I was out Saturday night doing some observing... a rare thing, and wasn't planning on imaging at all. As I was watching Jupiter with 2 moons visible, I saw the first shadow appear. Cool! Then, as I'm watching the first one cross the planet, the second shadow appeared! The weather usually sucks so I've never seen a double transit and usually don't pay attention to the "schedule". I decided I had to grab the camera and get a quick image to share. By the time I was set up, the 3rd moon had popped around the corner! What a great night to be out!
