Description

I made a dry-run of sorts for the eclipse this summer by trying to capture the ISS transiting the Sun today. It’s a pretty local event with the path width of only about 4 miles and I was lucky enough to have clear skies for this here at home. I used my Lunt 60mm Ha scope for visual and took the images through a Herschel Wedge on a TMB92SS with a 0.8x reducer. In addition to this combined view, here is a video showing the near real time view. I knew it would be a fast event, but didn't expect it to feel that fast. You blink and you'll miss it!
