Description

It was a lot of fun to work on this series of images. Especially this month (May) was quite busy. Due to bad weather forecast and the altitude of Venus now becoming too low, I will not be able to image further pictures this week. So the series is now done. All tracking was done manually, which was quite painful with such a small camera sensor paired with 3810 mm focal length.

Equipment

- Bresser Messier 10" dobson (f/5) + standard rockerbox

- Explore Scientific 3x focal extender -> 3810 mm focal length

- ZWO ASI 290MC + UV-IR cut filter

- ZWO Atmospheric Dispersion Corrector (ADC) Mark II

- Telrad Finder

Acquisition

- between 8000 and 15000 frames per image recorded with FireCapture

- shutter speed 1 ms

- gain in the range of 30-150 (whatever necessary for about 33% histogram coverage)

Processed in AutoStakkert! 3

- best 250 frames

- normalize Stack (100%)

- RGB align

- 3x drizzle

Processed in Pixinsight

- background neutralization

- color calibration

- rotation

- crop

- resample 50% (latest revision)

- saved as .jpg
