Description

Processing these galaxies under a bright 80% moon has been quite a struggle. Bringing out the outer parts of M106 and controlling background noise without clipping it required several attempts. In the process I noticed that ASTAP did a much better job in stacking than DSS does. At least under these circumstances. Separating the outer arms from the background has been much easier with the ASTAP stack.

In the end, I am fine with the result and happy that it wasn't a waste of time trying to image a broadband target under a bright moon. Hope you like it!
