Description

M13 (NGC 6205) the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules is one of the few deep space objects visible with the naked eye. It is a cluster of several hundred thousand stars. and is about 145 light years in diameter.  M13 is a easy to image since it is so large and so bright, but trying to get details in the outer reaches of the globular without over-exploring the core is a bit of a challenge. I really enjoy viewing M13 and seeing the vast number of stars associated with the globular. M13 is bright enough that I was able to acquire sufficient detail with just 2 hours of imaging.
