Description

The Tiger's Eye Galaxy (NGC 2841) with Celestron C14 - Composite with Luminance (QHY 183M, 36x300sec, -40°C, Baader UV/IR Cut) on 05.03.2021 und RGB (QHY 183C, 16x300sec, -40°C) from 08.03.2021; Gain 20, Offset 30.

NGC 2841 is a spiral galaxy in constellation of Ursa Major. It was discovered on 9 March 1788 by astronomer William Herschel. A 2001 Hubble Space Telescope survey of the galaxy's Cepheid variables determined its distance to be approximately 46 million light-years. The optical size of the galaxy is 8.′1 × 3.′5.
