Description

IC1795 [Fish head nebula] also catalogued as NGC896 is a star forming region comprised of hydrogen gas and dark dust clouds at apex of IC1805 [The Heart Nebula]. They form part of a complex of star forming regions at one edge of a large molecular cloud.

It lies at a distance of 6,000 light years in the constellation Cassiopeia and not too far from the famous double cluster [NGC869 & NGC884] in the constellation of Perseus.



As seen from my backyard in Milton Keynes, UK on the 14th of September 2020 @ 02:31 BST.

Taken with an Astro modified Canon 600D + Optolong l-eNhance filter attached to a Skywatcher 200 PDS 8" Newtonian mounted on a Skywatcher EQ6-R Pro.

31 x 120 second exposures @ ISO-1600 [1 hour & 2 minutes of data]. 20 x BIAS frames. 12 x Dark Frames. 21 x Flat frames.
