Description

This is an experimental image captured with two setups all from my backyard in Somerville, MA (SQM=18.1). One setup captured a 12-panel mosaic with a DSLR at 2.13"/px while the other setup captured a six-panel SHO narrowband mosaic with a mono camera at 4.03"/px. A total of 83 hours of data was then reduced in to a single image. The Heart Nebula, the Soul Nebula, and the Double Cluster, are all well-known objects to amateur astrophotographers, while Sh2-202, vdB15 and LBN 679 are not imaged frequently and rarely in one field. The false color mapping for the nebulae is: SII=Red; Ha=Green; OIII=Blue. The stars are natural color (DSLR) added on top.
