Description

This rarely imaged object is a series of 3 dusty reflection nebula located 700 light years away in the constellation of Lacerta at a declination of +42 degrees. Each nebula spans about 30 arc-minutes in our apparent view, which corresponds to a span of 6 light years.

The top left nebula is vdB 156a (LBN 462), the top right nebula is vdB 156b (LBN 458), and the bottom right nebula is vdB 156c (LBN 460). The bright star is 16 Lacerta.

I could not find much information about this object.

The 4th vdB 156 nebula (vdB 156d) is captured in a previous image of mine.
