Description

Messier 91 (M91, NGC 4548) is a barred spiral galaxy in Coma Berenices. It has an apparent size of 5.4 x 4.3 arc minutes, and lies 63 million light years away.

Date: Nov-Dec 2018

Location: Blue Mountain Vista Observatories,New Ringgold PA

Optics: Celestron EdgeHD 1100 on Paramount MX

Camera: Sbig STL-11000 for RGB

Optics: Starizona Hyperion f/8 12.5 inch, FL 2540 mm on Paramount ME

Camera: Apogee U8300 for Luminance

Guiding: ST-402 on Innovations Foresight On-Axis Guider and STL-11000 Self guiding

Exposure: LRGB: L:76x10 R:35x10 min, G:35x10 min, B:26x10 min for a total of 28.7 hrs (172 subs at avg of 600 sec)

Processing: Image acquisition using CCD Autopilot. Initial processing was done using Maxim DL with subsequent processing with Photoshop.
