Description

Yesterday night saw two hours of a little hazy but else clear sky with the moon about 60° up in Gemini. It was the night of the Aristarchus Plateau which is most rewarding when imaged in color. Since all mirrors and glasses were clean I suppose the images were a bit pale because of thin haze. Also, I placed the 3x barlow further away from the camera sensor increasing magnification and F-number of the optical train trading contrast.

All color images are stacks of 400 from 4000 frames, 1.5x drizzled.
