Description

Well, after experimenting with a cheap doublet refractor, I decided to buy the 5¨ version of my 14¨ Dobson  mounted  tube.  A great scope, except for the focuser, which protrudes 3 cm into the OTA when the SW CC is used. Surprisingly, I could not detect any obvious impact on star shape or image quality. On my to do list to fix this!

This Pelican shaped cloud of comsic dust is an active star forming region located in the constellation Cygnus, just 1,800 light years from earth. This image was captured under a very bright full moon, with high clouds dancing around the target.  This wasn't enough to significantly disrupt imaging or guiding.
