Description

The stunning Milky Way's central region rises....

This mosaic image depicts the beautiful Night Sky of ~July in the Southern Hemisphere - Milky Way's center in all its glory, passing overhead at midnight. A beautiful sight to be observed from dark, light-pollution free regions. In this nightscape, the rural landscape of Serra da Mantiqueira, in Minas Gerais, is shown as a beautiful foreground to the starry skies. A nearby lake provide the myriad of stars their mirrored peers on Earth. Metaphors and poetic images aside, the sight is indeed one to behold.

Despite being captured last year's July (2016), I only recently stumbled on these yet unprocessed files. I gave it a go, and was pleased with the, although not perfect, yet nice result. The sky and foreground were captured separetely and then stitched together, just as the scene originally was. Mosaic assembled in ICE, post processed in PS CC, with plugins. File management by LR.
