Description

Messier 15

A globular cluster in the constellation of Pegasus. Discovered in 1746 by Jean-Dominique Maraldi, it is around 33,000 ly away and is almost bright enough to be seen with the naked eye at a good dark site. At an estimated 12 billion years old it is one of the oldest globular clusters orbiting the Milky Way.

Taken with a borrowed Altair Astro Carbon tube 8" Ritchey Chretien. Considering I had balance and therefore guiding issues, I'm very pleased with the result.
