Description

I have been watching with interest many wonderful posts, and am hopeful to be adding some deep space images soon. I just finished my observatory seen here and am working out the kinks in the imaging system. In the mean time, I thought I would share what the night sky looks like from Fairview, Utah. We are at 6000 ft, and besides the light pollution you see in the distance, things are pretty dark here.

Saturn can be seen in this image, as it slowly makes it's way through the galactic plane. It is just west of the lagoon nebula and petty much center screen. Note 2 small meteors that were captured towards the top of the image.
