Description

2*14 minutes (28 minutes) of Juno. This was caught completely by accident. I only noticed this after reviewing the integrated image and seeing that one of the stars was severely "smudged".

Looking back at the time and date of the image (June 17 2017 @ 4:07am Central Standard Time) modeled in Stellarium, the asteroid Juno crosses this region exactly (Stellarium reports Juno having Magnitude 9.91 at the time). The J2000 coordinate was RA 18h 53m 15.03s DEC -4d 50' 47.2"

My actual target was the star HIP92746 (not in this portion of the frame). But the bright star (lower right) that is in this frame should be HIP92686 (Mag 7.4).

This result is a Calibrated+Debayer set of subs (hence the red background typical of OSC workflow), then Registered. PixInsight Blink then can export the PNG or AVI, which can then be converted into an Animated GIF.

The original intended image can be viewed here: http://astrob.in/301738/0/

Notice the little "smudge" of stars towards the bottom left.
