Description

I did not intend to image this object. I wanted to image M23 an open cluster in Sagittarius.

However because of the Moon and light pollution after much searching I could not locate M23 in my eyepiece. Just before this I had imaged M71 in Sagitta and I had accidently stumbled on

M27 while searching for M71. So since I couldn't find M23 I decided to image M27 instead.

It's been 7 months since I last imaged M27. This is not my best image of M27. I'm pleased with

the detail in the image but I'm not satisfied with the color. My raw files had nice color in the

nebulosity and star field but after aligning and stacking the color was not the same which

happens a lot. I did a lot of post processing trying to adjust the color to where I was pleased

with it but had no luck. I finally ran out of energy and patience and said that's it. It is what it is.

On another day when my eyes and my mind has had some rest I may try and reprocess this

image. I would like to image this object again if I ever have a clear, Moonless sky. With all

of that said please enjoy my most recent image of M27.

Description: It doesn't look like my sky is ever going to clear. So I have too much time on
my hands. When that happens I usually start reprocessing images. I
decided to reprocess my image of M27 because I was not satisfied with the
original image. M27 was kind of lost in the wide field so I decided to crop
the image. I never know when to stop talking so with all of that said please
enjoy my reprocessed image of M27.
