Description

Sharpless 2-88 or also known as Sh 2-88 is a region of diffuse nebulae. It is a HII type diffuse nebula excited by the type O8 star BD +26°3952. The Ha image contains much more edge information than L, so in this composition, Ha is mixed into both R & L as the luminosity layer to reveal the sharpness in this otherwise Sharpless defusing cloud.
