Description

First clear night I've had in a while. I decided to try and image some of the open star clusters

in and around Sagittarius and Scorpius. I found M6 first so I began imaging it. My sky to

the South and Southeast has very heavy light pollution because of a prison in that direction

and also lights from businesses in the city. Because of this light pollution I'm limited as to

the iso setting and exposure that I can use. I was hoping to capture more of the dim

reddish brown nebulosity and saturated star field that abounds in this part of the sky but

with the heavy light pollution it doesn't look like that's going to happen. I intended on taking

no less than 50 light frames and was hoping to get more. However when I got to 20 light

frames the object had moved to where a Bradford Pear tree was blocking the sky. My

stupidity I know but I thought I had plenty of room when I set up. With all of that said please

enjoy my first image of M6 taken with my new little AT72ED Refractor.
