Description

Discovered in 2012 (Outters) this potential bi-polar planetary nebula may exist within SH2-129 itself. A recent study with supporting evidence for this (Corrode et al. 2014) suggests that the dramatic structure and outflow are driven by a triple star system (HR8119 - two B0 V and one B0.5 V stars) at the center of the nebula. This would mean that at ~2,300 light years distant, the nebula would span nearly 50 light years across!
