Description

This is a first attempt at imaging with a camera lens. I picked up an old Nikon Nikkor S series 50mm, f/1.4 and tried it with my SBIG camera.

However, I found that the large stars would bloom at large diaphragm opening. So I closed the lens to f/2 for this series of shots.

Lots of light gathering capability at f/2. I limited my sub-exposures to 2 minutes (my regular routine is 5 to 10 minutes).

Hope you like the results.
