Description

NGC 772 is a spiral galaxy in Aries, 106 million light years away from the Earth, with a visual magnitude of 10.3. It has a conspicuous 30" diameter core with a stellar nucleus is surrounded by a mottled, fairly well concentrated, 1.5' diameter core. The outer halo is much fainter, extending to 4' x 2' northwest to southeast.
