Description

IC 2005 is a 16mag Elliptical galaxy in Perseus on one edge of NGC 1499 , The California Nebula. As it is estimated to be 281 million light years from our solar system it is virtually invisible here. This image is HaRGB only. I captured this data on an almost full moon with clouds all over the sky. I did this not to make a "pretty" image, but to see how deep I can actually go with my current set up. The simple fact tat I was able to capture this light (right in the center, golden spot) excites me greatly. Enjoy
