Description

This is a proof of concept on a 15 panel mosaic of the Small Magellanic Cloud. Just a framing test, thinking I'll have to add another row and make it a 3x6 panel as opposed to a 3x5 so that I can fit 47 Tuc in better without cutting too much of the bottom off.

It hasn't been flat fielded which is the cause of some of the circular gradients. I was too lazy to get up at 5am to take the flats and the sun destroyed the flats I took at 8am. Planning on a full HaOIIILRGB image.

This has been uploaded at 50% of full resolution as my laptop doesn't have enough memory for PixInsights MosaicMerge to deal with them. Was my first attempt at using the MosaicMerge function. It does a good job, takes hours with a 1.1 gigapixel file and doesn't like that they're not flat fielded but did a reasonable job.

So far all 15 panels contain 25x30s exposures so only 12.5 minutes of luminance. They're currently suffering from excessive tilt which is the cause of some mismatch and alignment issues. Because of the tilt and the way SequenceGen Pro focuses using whole frame, nothing is in focus! As a proof of concept and a framing test, I don't care
