Description

M11 is a bright open cluster in scutum approximately 7000 lj from earth. It contains over 3000 stars and has some interesting dark clouds in the area, which I was not aware of yet.
This is another image with very short subs (15 s) and the ASI 1600mmc on the fast ASA astrograph of Sternwarte Mirasteilas. Many images were lost due to intermittent clouds. And - jubilee! The image was taken on the eve of this year's Mirasteilas 10 year anniversary during a public observation session!
