Description

Today something about ghosts ;) To be precise - about small ghost of one of the brighetest star of M45 cluster.

Of course I'm writing about IC 349. Is a tiny reflecting nebula lying in the physical neighborhood Merope star.

It's angular size is about 30 seconds of the arc so it is very small, which with its brightness of around 13 mag and the Merope star very close makes it a very difficult object in observations and quite difficult in astrofoto.

Equipment and exposure:

Newton 250/1200 on EQ6 + ASI 178 MM-C camera

L: 350 x 1,5s (gain 70%)

RGB: 300 x 1,5 s (gain 85 %) per channel
