Description

This is another attempt with a Nikon lens onto my CCD via the Geoptik adapter. This time I used the AF-S DC 55-300mm 1:4.5-5.6 at 300mm to capture the so-called heart nebula. Focussing was a bit tricky and after a while I decided to switch to 2x2 binning as the loss in resolution was moderate.
Exposures: 6x300s H-alpha 1x1 bin, 9x300s H-alpha 2x2bin, 4x300s OIII 2x2 bin.
Color mapping: L=R=Ha, B=G=OIII.
