Description

Venus in the infrared range - 807nm. This wavelength is very useful in the photograph of Venus because, in addition to being little disturbed by the atmospheric turbulence (seeing) it potentiates the contrast between several down layers of the Venus atmosphere. The darker details are generally between 55 and 65 km in altitude, different from what is achieved in the Ultraviolet range, where the haze layers are in the range of 80km up.

ZWO cameras are very good in this spectrum range .. both monochrome and color. I have not yet achieved good results with ASI 120MM and ASI 224 in the UV range. At this shorter wavelength the old SkyNyx 2-0 is still unbeaten. I have faith in ASI 178 that apparently has good sensitivity in the UV range, but I still do not have one to test.
