      Description

      a widefield with Canon's 16-35mmL f/4 wide open on Eos6da. The milkyway on Hakos pure skies spans from Atair (note Barnads "E" nearby to our galaxys center, the Antares region with its colorful nebula complex, nearby pipe nebula and all the way down through Scorpius and Norma to Circinus and finally meeting Alpha Centauri and Hadar, the southern cross just being out of field. The tiny red specks along the galactic equator are the great emission nebuale, M16 M17 in Eagle and Ophiuchus, M8 and M20 in Sagittarius, the Cat Paw and Lobster nebula in Scorpius, and the firebird on the border from Ara to Norma.

      There is a full 100% size picture at the full resolution, take your time to wander around and find the numerous objects, and check out the annotated version to help you identify. The picture covers about 90° in DEC, and south is to the left.
