      Description

      Corona Australis, the southern crown, is located next to the galactic bulge, and harbours a complex of dust plumes and reflection nebulae. Visually the dust looks like a shadow cast on the background stars, but on the photo it can be displayed with depth and detail. To the right the condensing mass of bulge stars intensify ever more, forming a counterpoint rarely seen in an astrophoto.
