Description

So, I had to try the obvious: to put in the 5" refractor data into the telephoto wide field image (=merging the previous two posts). While I was at it I spent an hour clone stamping out the ugly iris-artifacts on the larger stars. So here is the sum of Thursday nights efforts.

In the second version there is almost no 5" refractor data in there since it really did not contribute much. What I have mainly done is to suppress the reddish colour in the central parts of the image using Gradient Exterminator in PS.

In version C, I completely reworked it from scratch (that is what I en up doing when skies are cloudy) and now stacked it in PI before working on it in PS. I also reprocessed the 5" data for M78. It ended up being quite different and a bit better I think (or hope)
