Description

NGC 7538 is located in the constellation Cepheus and it is often overlooked by amateur astronomers since it is located near the more famous or imaged bubble nebula. It is located about 9000 light years from earth and is a region of active star formation. It is home to the largest known protostar at about 300 times the size of our solar system.

This image would benefit greatly from additional integration time and would also be a interesting target for Narrowband and NIR imaging.
