Description

An experiment using control frames on a single subframe in order to get very short exposures and round stars with a non-tracking mount. I used darks, flats and flat darks. I also binned 2x2 to reduce noise. The rule of thumb is one can get the bare minimum roundness if the focal length of the lens in millimeters times the exposure in seconds is less than 500. Here I'm using 16mm x 8s = 128, and getting pretty round stars, but the under exposure means lots of noise.

Canon 60Da with Rokinon 16mm f/2.0: FL 16mm, f/2 @ 8s ISO3200.
