Description

NGC7000 - North America Nebula

The first proper test of my new 2" Narrowband Badder Filters and I am delighted with the result.

Processed to reduce the stars without eliminating them to better show off the nebulosity.

NGC7000 is an emission nebula in the constellation of Cygnus, this only shows part of the nebula the full thing is around 3 degrees across and resembles the shape of North America complete with a prominent 'Gulf of Mexico'. It can't be seen with the naked eye, but under dark skies with binoculars it can be seen as a faint fuzzy patch.
