Description

The Crab Nebula is a very exciting but odd-looking object. I find it fascinating that something so beautiful (and strange) had an incredibly violent birth: the nebula we see today is the remnant of a super nova whose explosion in the year 1054AD was so violent that it suddenly appeared as the brightest object in the sky, so bright it was visible during the day.

This is my first time capturing the Crab Nebula, and the first object I captured with my new ZWO ASI1600MM Pro. It could use more time and refinement as I've learned much about imaging with the camera since taking this first image, but I think I got what I could out of the data I had on hand.
