Description

I did this capture in October 2017 on three nights. Had to toss quite a few subs due to passing clouds, but still got enough to make it worth processing.

H = 65 x 240 Astrodon 5nm
O = 37 x 240 Astrodon 3nm
S = 41 x 240 Astrodon 3nm

I did a straight SHO = RGB mapping, then used SCNR to get rid of the green. The resulting image did -not- have the magenta stars, a nice bonus. I extracted a synthetic Luminance from the SHO combination and processed it separately, then put it all back together with LRGBCombination.

Most of the noise reduction happened during the linear processing phase. I use a fairly strong mask and that seems to help with reducing the "orange peel" look I've produced in the past.
