Description

The colors that come out in the picture after a strong saturation pump up shows the accumulation of different minerals on the surface of the Moon. Blue areas are rich in titanium oxide, the more brown ones are areas with much less iron and titanium and the pink-purple colour of the mountains and craters (on the right side of the picture) indicates a large presence of aluminium.

A photo taken at the height of the moon 25 degrees above the horizon so with weak seeing conditions.
