Description

Came up with my own way doing final combination of Ha and RGB in Photoshop after I did initial processing in PixInsight. Basically, a normal base layer of just the Ha mixed into the red channel. Then a starless luminance layer to bring back in detail in the nebula, and finally a "screen" blended stars only layer on top. I'm sure others have used this technique, but I stumbled across it on my own after some failed attempts to keep good star color after blending the lum.

Thanks for looking!

After feedback from Alan Jordan (cloudynights) and others, I minimized the red halos in this new version. Trying to get to the bottom of what is causing those. Something is weird about the alignment and the focus with all my red frames with this particular setup so far. :(
